F/W 2017 Collection
12/22/2016 2 Comments December 22nd, 2016So November AND December 2016 have come and pretty much gone, which means there is only 2 months left until Omaha Fashion Week!
If you're wanting to come out and show your support, there will be tickets on sale and available for purchase WITH A 15% DISCOUNT CODE in a few weeks, so stay tuned! Joe and I moved units in our apartment complex this past month, so the move kept me busy with packing, and then unpacking. However, now I have my own room just to sew, drape, and pattern fun garments for everyone to see, so the stress of that was more than worth it! This week I have been busy finalizing all of my patterns and samples, and next week I get to start hand dyeing all of my beautiful silk fabrics, which means I'll be able to finally share some pictures and sneak peeks with you guys! I promise I won't keep you guys waiting for an update near as long this time! Thanks for being patient with me, and following along this journey with me! I'm so excited to share all of the hard work I've been putting into this show with you guys! Xoxo- SH Liz

10/30/2016 9 Comments OFW... YAY!After almost a year of being out of school, and so many unanswered application attempts, I started losing the faith that I had spent the last four years of my life chasing my dream of being a fashion designer for nothing in return. However, as anyone who knows me at all, knows that I do not give up. I picked myself back up and went all-in for a long shot. I applied to enter a collection into Omaha Fashion Week as many talented Alumni from Iowa State has had a lot of success there in the past.
Little did I expect, I got an interview and started sketching and preparing like a mad woman because I only had six days......EEEK!!!...... before I had one of the biggest opportunities of my life. As it turns out, all of my hard work paid off and I got accepted to debut a collection in their February 2017 show! So here I am, ready to put in the hardest work I have ever put into anything so far, and I can't wait to share it with you all! You can follow along with my design processes here, as I'll be posting my progress as I prepare for the show. I would love to hear people's feedback as I start bringing my collection together piece by piece. Just leave your comments below! I can't wait to share this experience with all of you and thank you for all of the support from everyone! Xoxo- SH Liz |
